So you can expect bigger brands at lower prices and Gordmans stand behind their Lowest Price Guarantee so you never have to hunt to find your treasures, they're already at the lowest possible prices. Gordmans along with Palais Royal, Bealls, Peebles & Goodys were purchased and owned by STAGE specialty stores. For more information READ HERE.

Having your dream space does not have to be expensive. I'm sure you've heard me say this countless of times. All it takes is a creative vision and understanding of the basics of design to create the space that you want that's well within your budget and the right place to shop for the products you need. And thanks to Gordmans I have curated a space that is under $100.

When creating the space of your dreams you need inspiration, right? So adding an art statement piece is a great way to add color, personality, and inspiration to your space. I picked up this New Day Fresh Start photo for only $14.99 at Gordmans. (And side note I got the "Faith" art piece, gold cactus accessory and gold journal from Gordans. earlier this year at the grand opening of their location in Rosenburg TX.)

Collect your loose coins in style with this antique typewriter coin bank that can also serve as a book holder. For only $4.99.

I wanted to bring some southwestern Native American elements to my space because I'm so intrigued with the decor style. So I picked up 4 items for this section.
  • A great way to add character to your space is with your lighting and this  wood inspired spot light is the perfect way to bring a little personality to the space. This light was only $14.98 at Gordmans.
  • Frame your space with a original statement art piece. This reclaimed wood art piece is the southwestern inspiration that pulls the space together and was only $34.99
  • Its obvious that I love unique things. I ran into this handcrafted pot in the gardening section. This pot was handcrafted by Artisans in Portugal. I added some faux succulents to it.
  • Adding greenery to the space is a great way to bring the outdoors in and to add life and depth to the space even if it's a faux plant. This leafy plant was only $19.98

*Also don't forget to head to your local Gordmans for their Anniversary event on July 21st which is TODAY in all stores!

#Maxx50Challenge: How To Get That Killer Office Space At TJMAXX For $50

*This post is Sponsored by TJMaxx but all opinions are my own*

I recently had the opportunity to team up with TJMaxx for their #Maxx50Challenge and it was probably one of the best experiences of my blogging career. If you follow me on Instagram you know how much I love TJMaxx. So when they reached out to me in an email my heart fluttered! They mentioned that they admired my style and savvy ways of shopping their stores and would love to see what I can discover! That made me feel so good.

If you follow TJMaxx on instagram they collaborate with influencers quite often in this thing called the #Maxx50Challenge where you shop their store or online store with a $50 card. The challenge is are you capable of shopping their store with only $50 in your name???

I focused on Office Decor in my challenge and let me tell you...it can be a bit intimidating trying to decorate your office with only $50 to your name but I do this ALL THE TIME! Knowing the basics of decorating will keep you focused on your goals.

How To Get That Killer Office Space At TJMAXX For $50

Decorating your space does not have to be overwhelming, not expensive. TJMAXX has a great variety of accent pieces that are well within the budget of $50.

  • Bring the outdoors in! The best way to instantly add life, texture, color and personality to the space is with plants. What I love about TJMAXX is that they have a great selection of plants that you can add to your space as an accent. And also they carry real succulents that are very low maintenance and affordable.

THE SENSE OF SMELL!

  • Your sense of smell can trigger emotions, unlike any other sense. What we smell has the ability to bring on stress or it can instantly relax us. There are several ways you can add some freshness to your space. You can burn a delicious candle, you can spritz the room with a freshener, you can add those wall plugins into your space, or you can invest in an essential oil diffuser. I have a diffuser already but because I was on a budget I chose a candle. Which is a wonderful way to clear your space from a bad day or a negative interaction.
  • This Lavender scented candle was $7.99
  • This Essential Oil Kit was $19.99 ( I did not buy this with the $50 Giftcard)
This is how I included the candle into my space. Lavender is very calming.

Add Some Comfort

When personalizing your office space on a budget and a little goes a long way. A Rug, light, throw or even accent pillow can really transform a space and create the ambiance you're looking for. The office is an extension of your home and although it needs to function as an office you want it to be comfortable and a space that you enjoy being in because this is a place that you need to get things done. Adding personal touches to your space really makes a difference even if it may seem small.

  • The manager gave me an awesome discount on this pink throw for $16.00 I love throws because I get cold easily.
  • Accent Pillow was $12.99

Organize with Style

Keeping the clutter in check keeps the office functional and organized. Choose organizational supplies that exhibit the style of your space. You can find inexpensive storage options inside TJMAXX.

These wood storage boxes are $5.99

.

My total before tax was $46.97 and with Tax, it was $50.85. I paid .85 out of picket and the $50 on the gift card. I think I still did a pretty good job!

I did buy my father some new under shirts for $9.99. That's all the man wanted for Father's Day.  Overall it is definitely possible to buy what you need for only $50 and TJMAXX is the place to do it at!

Check out my takeover HERE

I'd like to thank TJMaxx for this opportunity! I really had a wonderful time and hope to get the opportunity to do this again!

Valentine's Day Bedroom Reveal

I'm not much into pagan holidays but I must admit as an artist I love to be creative and because I've been getting back into Home Decor I thought it would be fun to share how I updated my space for Valentine's Day in the most affordable way. Valentine's Day decor doesn't have to be your typical frilly nilly decor with hearts all over the place, pink & red themed. It can be something that can remain a part of your space and age appropriate. So today I'm revealing how I added a touch of love to my space.

If you follow me on Instagram then you will know that I love flowers but you must also know I prefer Synthetic flowers because although I have a window I don't get much sunlight in there to nourish plants so I personally opt for synthetics for maintenance purposes. I have flowers and plants all over the place in my space because plants creates a sense of  balance and vibrant energy.

So the first thing you will notice is probably a difference in my mantle feature over the bed or maybe it's the bed? Oh well we're going to start  with the mantle piece.

There's a lot that has changed on my mantle...let's try everything! From left to right....
This mantle piece definitely got an major upgrade and what I said about the frilly nilly valentine's decor I promise you that you won't see anymore imitation candy hearts. I thought it was cute and now I have something to pull out every year. This is also a great gift. I can recycle the flowers into another vase after the Valentine's Day holiday.

As you can see my bed definitely got a major makeover. Can you feel the love in this room!? Blush tones add the perfect amount of contrast.

A little close up on my table tray that I found at Target for only $5. What a steal! Also you must know every floral arrangement that you see in these photos were created by me.

Before

After
Another transformation was definitely my bedside table. TOTAL SPRING VIBES Right? I pulled out my marble slab that I got from Home Depot and placed it as the new surface to lighten the space. Added a oversized photo which you can't see much of but i do feel that it gets rid of some of that negative space on the wall..

A space inspired by love doesn't have to be so cheesy neither does it have to be expensive. This is a space I didn't spend much money on but I put a lot of love and thought into it. And it's also a space that I feel I don't have to change as the holidays changes.

How To Style Your Bedside Table

Bed side tables are the most used and sometimes abused furniture piece in the house. This surface is where you will find snacks, water, your keys, your phone, books, jewelry, bill statements medicine... You name it, it's probably there. I believe that everything should have a place. When I was growing up I was used to seeing clutter. My home wasn't messy it's just every square inch of wall space was taken up by some furniture piece which to me gave a cluttered feel.  Every surface was used and claimed ESPECIALLY the end tables and Bedside tables. There were things there that shouldn't be there. I believe our homes are sacred and it should a place where we can come and relax. Clutter makes it hard to relax. Even when you sleep you still feel tired.

I'm going to share with you how to style your bedside table like a pro and make it functional for your needs but stylish at the same time.

LIGHT

Every bedside table need some form of light source. Something that can provide adequate lighting to be able to see.  I like to add a variation of height when styling my bedside table. Most times my lamps is the tallest item on my bedside table.. You can find very affordable lamps in many places. I picked mines up from Ross Dress For Less. Ross is one of my favorite places to shop for affordable and stylish furniture, decor and more. This tall lamp was only $18 which is an amazing price point for a lamp of this size and style. I also got a additional discount on it because the switch was broken. Something I could fix. So if you see any malfunctions always ask for an additional discount. I guarantee you they will honor it unless it's marked down for clearance. Most times if the markdown is 50-60% they may not honor another discount but it doesn't hurt to ask. If you have a small table opt for a sconce so you can maximize the space to accessorize your table.

BOOKS
I'm not much of a reader like that but I won't deny I like to look at books. And for the most part most of us are reading something. Or maybe you don't read often you may write. Either way books are a great way to style your bedside table and add texture, style and height. It's also a great stationary. When styling your table with books. you want to be careful with how you style it according to the proportion of your table. You don't want to soak up your whole table with books. You want to be able to add a bit more accessories. Books are also great to add accessories on top of as I did in photo below. It serves as a shelf. You can purchase nice decorative books from places like Five Below, Dollar Tree, Family Dollars, 99 Cents Store Only. Those are place I like to shop for small nick nacks,

Faux Flowers, Vase, ornaments inside vase and owl from 99 Cents Only Store

FLORAL VASE
It's no mystery that I love flowers and I love to make floral arrangements.  I believe flowers add life to the space and texture. And I think it's important to incorporate some natural element when styling your bedside table even if it's not real. Because my space is dark and I don't get much sunlight I opt for synthetic flowers. But there are low maintenance natural elements like succulents that doesn't require a lot of light and water. Still I opt for synthetic plants because I like to have control. I like to shop at Dollar Tree & the 99 Cents Only for my vases, and flowers. They most times come in clusters so I like to customize and cut the stems to make it more organic looking. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Also when I use to work for Krogers I use to buy fresh flowers when they were clearanced off. So be sure to check out the deals that's available for you.

CANDLES

Candles are something that's a must for me. I have them all over my space. It's a great small item that adds another natural element to your bedside table. I love how it makes my table looks, I love how it smells, and love how it makes me feel. I don't know anyone that doesn't like candles. Candles are a great way to meditate. It has a calming effect because of its kinetic energy that it sends through it's motions. Candles in my opinion is essential to have in your space on your bedside table. I purchase many of my candles from Ross.

DON"T FORGET THE SMALL ITEMS
Small items can be jewelry bowls, it may be candles for you, it may be something that you truly love. I think it's important to have something that represents your style that's small and can fit in the palm of your hands. I love owls. Anybody that's been friends with me or have been keeping up with me probably will know that. I have them all over my space. I wear them as jewelry, I have coffee mugs with owls, I have floral owl vases, so it's only right to have a owl on my bedside Since it's a great part of my style. Owls are very symbolic to me and I want go into what they represent. I think it's important to have something that you love and represents your style on your bedside table. I love flowers, I love candles and I love owls.

What are some things that you must have on your bedside table?

CHIC HOME OFFICE MAKEOVER FOR GROW MY BRANDS

Happy Saturday Fam!
Decided to bring something a bit different to my blog this Monday Morning. If you been following my blog for a while then you may know that I graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design and every now and then I share some of my DIYs on Facebook or Instagram but I've never got around to it on my blog. But that's about to change because I have some upcoming posts coming that I think you will love. Also I'm in the middle of renovating my sister & bro-in-laws new home which is going great! They are new home owners andI'll be sharing that with you all. But I want to bring you all a transformation collaboration I did with a client who is actually on the same street as my sister!

I was reached out to by the founder of Grow My BrandsAngel Santos who is a Brand Strategist & Productivity Coach.

She expressed her desire to have a space where she could be inspired to work, do live videos and be productive in to produce results.  Also this space was a shared space for her and her husband but this transformation was mainly for her because of the type of business she does that requires a space to reflect your personality and because she mostly work from home she wanted to be able to do a bulk of her work from there.

Because Angel & I grew up together who would know her style better than I would? I didn't have to do much of a consultation with her because as I said I knew her personality and style. Angel is really one that don't require a lot of meetings. You are the expert. She give you a few things here and there but you must be able to run with the little things she gives you.

I had an amazing time working with Angel Santos

Some inspirations I put together inside Ross Stores. Gold adds a sense of sophistication. And she love golds!

A boring  space with no personality

turned into a space that she could be inspired to work out of.

The original desk I kept and placed it in the corner for storage purposed and to elevate the white shelf that was taken from another room. The plant was also taken from another space to add a bit of life to the space.

The Desk was from IKEA and it's the Micke Style Desk

They currently have an UNBELIEVABLE PRICE!!!!

MEMBERSHIP PRICE: $59.00
REGULAR PRICE: $79.00

I got a lot of the accessories from Ross Stores & Home Goods & Target! We didn't have to go all over the place because Angel is all about maximizing time and buying the things you want. She's not much of a DIYer like I am. She prefers just buying the items and being done with it. And that's exactly what we did.

Overall this was a 1-Day project that I did by myself. The good thing is I didn't have to paint. Most of my time went into putting the desk together and hanging the Window panels. Everything else was a breeze. We'll make future updates to her space. But what you think???? Would you like to see more of these??? Let me know in the comments!

DIY: AFFORDABLE & FUNCTIONAL MAKEUP PALETTE ORGANIZERS

As a makeup artist, beauty junkie, beauty blogger I review, purchase, collect, and receive a lot of products and it's easy to build up so much merchandise to the point it becomes hard to store and becomes a MESS.COM. Lately I've been renovating and reorganizing  my space or habitat. If I'm not at work or church I spend a bulk of my time in this space so I need it to be inspirational and function for me to enjoy.

One of the the things that take up a bulk of my space when it comes to my vanity is my palettes. So I've gathered inspiration from platforms like pinterest and youtube and chose this inexpensive way to store but yet feature these products as an accents to my vanity.  These are not all of my palettes but palettes I use often and thought were "pretty swell".

I went on a venture to The 99 Cents Store and found this stationary organizer ONLY $.99. I picked up two. This beats spending BOOKOO of money on makeup organizers from beauty sites or beauty stores. AIN'T NOBODY GAUT TIME 4 DAT! Let's be innovative, creative and let's SAVE SOME MONEEEEEEY!
